Brand identity & website package

The following package of services is designed to give associations the building blocks of their brand identity. It includes defining the organization's DNA, who they serve exactly (target audience), what they should say (messaging), how they should say it (tone and personality) and where they should say it (tactics).

For many associations going through a major transition, a well-defined brand strategy and creatively crafted identity is all that separates them from connecting with their members in a more meaningful way.

1. Research & audit

This is where we take an in depth look at your company, your market and your current marketing – and that of your competition – and then give you our observations, recommendations and suggestions for next steps. Our process involves a questionnaire, online surveys, site visit, stakeholder interviews and online research. Deliverables include our expert opinions, based on over 15 years in brand development, and our recommendations delivered in a visual presentation and written report.

2. Strategy & messaging

Now that we have a deeper understanding of your organization we begin to explore key issues and themes that underlie your story. We articulate your mission, vision, values, and tagline and consult with you to define your positioning (what makes you different and unique from competitors). Usually at the end of this process we also have several lines & language for advertising and website content. These succinctly crafted statements are important for being able to explain your business to both potential clients and employees as well as shape strategic decisions moving forward.

Your mother was right. Think before you speak. The marketplace is a crowded, noisy place. Cutting through the clutter to connect with consumers requires insight, a unique approach, a great story and an attentive audience.

3. Visual identity

Now that we know your story, we help you look the part. This includes designing a corporate logo(s), developing key stationery pieces, building a library of graphic assets and providing a style guide on how it all gets put together. The style guide is a mini instruction manual for implementing your visual identity consistently. It includes directions on logo usage, choosing the right fonts and colours, as well as photos and illustrations. Layout templates are also included to help shape future communications.

In a culture that is information rich and time poor it is often the creative visual expression of a brand that delights, inspires and moves people. A carefully crafted visual presence is essential for successful organizations.

4. Website development

Unlike pre-packaged software, our websites are not bloated with unnecessary features. We simply provide our clients with the tools they need to connect with their members, manage their content and generate revenue. While we provide ongoing support for significant updates, it is our goal to empower association staff to manage as much of their websites as possible.
